A fly-free home is possible if the right product and correct application are combined.
To keep them out of the house, there are many popular solutions, but they don’t always work as we’d like:
- A transparent bag filled with water should scare them away.
- Mosquito nets are effective but limit movement and reduce natural light.
- Spray insecticides are also toxic for us, and electric devices are not always the most efficient.
- Other home methods, like bottles with funnels and a water-and-honey mix, work but are visually unpleasant.
- Ultraviolet lamps are highly recommended for certain spaces, like restaurants and kitchens, and some have designs that blend in very well.
Is there a definitive solution? There are places where a lamp won’t work, you can’t use a mosquito net, and sprays would not be effective.
