New regulation and official Legionela training
On February 22, 2018, a new regulation came into effect establishing the technical and sanitary conditions to prevent and control Legionela. This regulation no longer applies only to spa baths and cooling towers, but also affects many other water-spraying systems: communal showers in hotels and sports centers, ornamental fountains, fire protection systems with sprinklers, among others.

This means that the owners of these facilities must comply with new obligations, and one of the most important is ensuring that personnel receive proper training.
Training in Legionella is key to:
- Understanding what the disease is and how it is transmitted.
- Designing and implementing self-monitoring plans in at-risk facilities.
- Knowing the associated occupational hazards and safe use of disinfectants.

Good prevention always starts with proper training. Having prepared personnel ensures not only regulatory compliance but also safety, trust, and peace of mind for both companies and facility users.
